Häcken has signed Norwegian midfielder Simen Hestnes, who helped KFUM Oslo reach Eliteserien. The new signing is expected to strengthen Häcken's midfield. - Simen is a bit of a late bloomer in Norwegian football, says Häcken's football manager Martin Ericsson. He has had a central role in KFUM Oslo's journey to Eliteserien and their establishment there. Hestnes spent his time in youth football in Vålerenga and then went to the USA to combine college studies with football. He returned to Norwegian football and was part of KFUM Oslo's promotion to Eliteserien in 2023, which was historically significant. - My game also builds on following up in attacks, contributing to goals and being active in and around both penalty areas, says Hestnes. - He is an all-round midfielder with a large work capacity who likes both defending his own box and creating chances in the offense. A natural leader who we believe will be able to contribute in a good way both on and off the pitch, says Martin Ericsson. The contract is written for the 2027 season.
