Häcken played well but got little reward against Elfsborg. The match ended 1-1 at Borås Arena.

What happened?

Häcken took control of the game early and had more possession and longer attacks. The visitors forced Elfsborg to defend low for much of the first half.

Häcken often found their way centrally through Mikkel Rygaard, Silas Andersen, and Julius Lindberg. From there, they could move the game further out to the sides, where Amor Layouni, Adrian Svanbäck, and Olle Samuelsson created problems several times.

Why was it a draw?

Elfsborg had a harder time getting the ball. Leo Östman was sometimes alone up front, and Momoh Kamara often had to carry the attacks on his own.

In the 42nd minute, the lead goal came. Häcken got the ball in from the right through Amor Layouni. Silas Andersen appeared in the box, attacked the right area, and headed in 0-1 from close range.

Häcken had the game where they wanted it for a long time, but never managed to close it. Instead, Elfsborg got new energy, grew into the second half, and saved a point.
