Wilson Lindberg Uhrström - a new offensive force for Häcken

BK Häcken announced the signing of 20-year-old Wilson Lindberg Uhrström from Hammarby IF. The new player has signed a contract running through the 2030 season. Wilson has been with Hammarby since the age of six and received an A-team contract ahead of 2025, but has mostly played in HTFF. He now seeks a place where he can get regular playing time and develop at the highest level.

  • I need more routine at the top level to develop, and I know Häcken does a good job with young players, says Wilson. He describes Häcken’s style as “fun and offensive” and sees it as a fitting environment for his creative game.

A goal-scoring midfielder

Wilson has shown a strong goal-scoring instinct in the P19 Allsvenskan 2024, where he was top scorer. That same year he was named Årets Unicoach midfielder. He often points out that his ability to finish and position himself in the final third is a combination of good finishing and game intelligence.

  • The fact that I have a good finish and can position myself well is key. As a midfielder I like to create things on the pitch, says Wilson.

Häcken’s football director sees great potential

Martin Ericsson, Häcken’s football director, commented on the new signing:

> Wilson has a strong mentality and many offensive qualities. Besides being a creative playmaker with a good finish, he is skilled at finding solutions in the final third. So he is an exciting young player whose continued development we look forward to being a part of.

Ericsson emphasized that Wilson fits into Häcken’s philosophy of developing talent and giving young players the chance to play at the highest level.

A new city and a new arena

Wilson has moved to Hisingen and now looks over Nordic Wellness Arena. He describes it as a new city, a new club, and a new arena - something that feels unfamiliar but he is optimistic.

  • It’s not a bad city I’m moving to. The big change will be getting into a new team with a different tactic and style of play. It might take a little time, but it will work. And then the supporters will get to see a player who is fun to watch and who has a real winning mentality, says he.

Wilson is convinced that his offensive mindset and goal-scoring potential will contribute to Häcken’s continued success. With a contract that extends to 2030, the club now has a new midfielder who can grow with the team and contribute to both short-term goals and long-term development.
