Kalmar FF managed to break the trend and secure an unexpected draw at Hisingen Stadium against BK Häcken. Despite their strong home record of 17 points gained from six matches, KFF struggled on the road, having lost all six away games so far this season. However, a 1-1 result now marks a turning point for the Allsvenskan newcomers.
In the 12th minute, Aboubacar Keita gave KFF the lead with a well-executed goal after Carl Gustafsson's assist. Despite several opportunities, including Charlie Rosenqvist’s close-range effort saved by Häcken's goalkeeper, KFF could not capitalize further and found themselves levelled in the 38th minute thanks to Harry Hilvenius' decisive header.
The second half was goalless, leading to a shared point for both teams. KFF currently sits in tenth place while Häcken is third in the Allsvenskan table.
BK Häcken’s Mikkel Rygaard expressed disappointment with the match, stating that despite creating numerous chances, the team lacked quality and needed to play faster and work harder as an unit. On the other hand, Kalmar FF's Robert Gojani praised his team for their defensive efforts but admitted that scoring more goals remains a challenge.
The next matches will see KFF travel to Blåvitt while Häcken hosts Hammarby.
