Gustav Lindgren scored a hat-trick as Häcken thrashed Kalmar FF 5-0 away from home. The victory sees the Gothenburg-based side climb to fourth place in the Allsvenskan table after a dominant display.
The match was decided early. After just three minutes, Lindgren made it 0-1 following a pass from Filip Helander. Kalmar had a major chance to end their goal drought through Melker Hallberg, but shortly after, Lindgren extended the lead to 0-2. Early in the second half, he completed his hat-trick for 0-3. Adrian Svanbäck and Julius Lindberg then added 0-4 and 0-5 within the first quarter of an hour after the break.
For Kalmar FF, a winless run was extended to eight matches. Their goal drought has now reached 546 minutes. "We have nothing, right? I don't think we have a single shot on target. It's crap, we have to raise our game," said striker Noah Shamoun afterwards.
Manager satisfied
Häcken manager Jens Gustafsson was pleased with his team's efficiency. "Their best chance. That's where the match stands and is decided," he noted.
With his three goals in Kalmar, Gustav Lindgren now has nine goals in 21 appearances this season and is the team's top scorer. Häcken currently sit seventh in the Allsvenskan with 33 points and a goal difference of plus four.
